As the first Software Engineer in the Growth Platform team, you will play a vital role in using our data and infrastructure to improve how our global marketing team operates. You will be exposed to a variety of challenges, processes, and data that power our growth and will make a significant impact on the company's scalability. Responsibilities: - Identify data needs for our marketing and sales teams, understand their specific operational and reporting requirements, and build scalable data products and pipelines to enable data-driven decisions across Verkada. - Support the Data Science team in applying and generalizing statistical and econometric models on large datasets, facilitating intelligent decision-making among our Growth and Go-to-Market teams. - Develop Verkada’s Customer Engagement Data Service - collecting, curating, managing, enriching, and presenting a unified view of user interactions with Verkada for data application usage across the company. - Enhance our existing data lake to help the marketing and sales teams at Verkada forecast potential business performance, and reliably measure ongoing progress toward targets. - Construct data pipelines that track key GTM product metrics, and measure the outcome of different GTM strategies employed by field teams. - Integrate different aspects of our experimentation infrastructure at Verkada, to enable full-funnel measurement and customization of experiences spanning from verkada.com into the product. Requirements: - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science (or similar) - 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or Software Engineering role, preferably with a focus on building data pipelines, or applications powered by big data. - Strong engineering background and an interest in data. - Proficient in cross-functional communication, requirement derivation, and shared dataset architecture. - Knowledge of a scientific computing language, such as Python, and SQL.
