About the Role:

Join our Machine Learning (ML) platform team as a Senior Software Engineer in our Seattle office. Our platform encompasses an extensive range of ML solutions including feature stores, real-time model serving, data exploration, and model training systems within the dynamic ecosystem of Remitly. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the quality and availability of features that power our ML models, collaborating closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and various other teams. This position reports directly to the Machine Learning Platform Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop production systems for both real-time and batch data-derived results.
• Collaborate with Economists, Analysts, and Engineers to innovate products and strategies for our pricing engine.
• Design and enhance the architecture of our ML feature, training, and serving frameworks.
• Drive significant improvements in Remitly's financial bottom line through advanced ML solutions.
• Optimize our ML platform to ensure superior data product delivery across the organization.

What You Need to Succeed:

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience working with data supporting machine learning models.
• Proven expertise in large-scale data processing systems, such as Apache Spark and Flink.
• Strong familiarity with feature store concepts, including hands-on experience in building and maintaining them.
• Practical experience in developing ML models to address real-world industry challenges.
• Experience in managing ML feature stores and autonomous training and validation pipelines.

Compensation and Benefits:

The initial base salary for this role ranges from $180,000 to $225,000. In addition to a compelling salary, we offer equity as part of our total compensation, reflecting our commitment to involve employees in our company’s success.
