Key Role: Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning - Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer in our Platform Product Group, you will be instrumental in building a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform that supports the fast and efficient operation of Coinbase. Our team focuses on critical platforms including Identity, Payment, Risk, and Customer Experience among others.

Job Duties:

• Develop and deploy robust, low-maintenance machine learning models.
• Create features and success metrics by clarifying requirements.
• Apply advanced machine learning techniques to tackle a variety of problems across the company.
• Design and conduct A/B testing to refine models and strategies.

What We Look for in You:

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in machine learning engineering.
• Expertise in one or more ML models like Logistic Regression, Deep Learning, etc.
• Proficiency in data analysis, ETL, feature exploration, and visualization techniques.
• Experience in building scalable backend systems focusing on machine learning and data processing.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (BS, MS, PhD) in a technical field such as Computer Science or Data Analytics.
• Familiarity with tools like Apache Airflow, Spark, Kafka, and Python.

Compensation and Benefits

The target annual salary for this role ranges from $180,265 to $212,000 USD, depending on location, plus bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and 401(k) plans.
