Position Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Data Engineer who excels in building and managing large-scale data infrastructure. This full-time, remote-friendly role (with a preference for hybrid at our Palo Alto HQ) offers a salary range between $228,800 - $341,000 plus equity and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead optimization of our data processing infrastructure and automation processes to support scalability and efficiency.
• Utilize AWS and SQL technologies to enhance our data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) capabilities.
• Develop advanced data analytics tools to derive insights on key business metrics.
• Manage extensive data sets and collaborate with diverse teams to address high-level data infrastructure challenges.
• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute in all phases of the data system lifecycle, from design to integration.
• Drive innovation in data management and participate actively in hiring and team growth activities.

Who We Are Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in data infrastructure roles with a robust background in project leadership.
• Degree in computer science/engineering, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• Deep expertise in programming with Python or Scala, and big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop or Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), Databricks, and operational tools like Git and Terraform.
• Experience with data governance, compliance, and securing data through advanced methodologies.
