About the Role

The Udacity Content Team is seeking a Senior AI Technical Content Developer to design hands-on AI learning experiences. You'll create professional development pathways aimed at upskilling technical talent and provide leadership in instructional design throughout the course development process. Leverage your AI expertise and industry insights to shape the training programs in our AI catalog.

Key Responsibilities

• Stay updated on the latest AI developments, review internal and competitor content, and provide input on improving Udacity’s AI nanodegrees and courses.
• Use your technical expertise and industry knowledge to develop high-level content for Udacity learners.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and team members to create effective online content that meets Udacity’s educational standards.
• Mentor new authors on course development processes and provide pedagogical feedback.
• Create learning materials, including videos, text, exercises, quizzes, and projects, using Udacity’s tools and best practices.
• Assist authors in setting up coding workspaces and other interactive environments on our platform.
• Analyze data and feedback to enhance content effectiveness and student outcomes.

Essential Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of AI principles, including natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, large language models (LLMs), and reinforcement learning.
• Experience with AI tools and libraries.
• Solid foundation in statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) and SQL.
• Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform related to AI and data.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and workflows.
• Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.

Other Required Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities

• 3+ years of teaching and/or curriculum development experience.
• 3+ years of industry experience in roles related to AI, machine learning, and data.
• Proficiency with version control tools like Git.
• Excellent English verbal, written, and copy-editing skills.
• Can-do attitude and growth mindset.

Desired Qualities

• Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple assignments weekly.
• Understanding of online learning and experience developing asynchronous course content.
• History of learning and applying new technical skills.
