Our Autonomous Vehicles Program Management team is on the lookout for an inventive and seasoned Technical Program Manager to help support the Planning and Control TPM team on NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform. As a significant part of our Automotive Vehicles Program Team, you will play a critical role in overseeing the software development of our autonomous driving software stack. NVIDIA empowers automakers, Tier 1 suppliers, automotive research institutions, and start-ups, providing them with the capability and flexibility to design and implement groundbreaking artificial intelligence systems for self-driving vehicles. Presently, we work with more than 270 partners who are utilising our platform in the creation of autonomous cars, trucks, shuttles, and taxis.

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing automotive software development and deliverables across multiple engineering teams.
  • Collaborating with the engineering leads to establish and consolidate roadmaps, schedules, and milestones, while driving and monitoring their execution across the organization.
  • Coordinating release content and initiatives with multiple program managers and engineering managers who are in charge of individual components.
  • Identifying and tackling risks, and resolving issues that jeopardize release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Working jointly with the Product, Release, Engineering, Safety teams as part of the implementation process.
  • Setting up metrics to assess and enhance execution across the organization.
  • Augmenting processes and procedures throughout the organization. Simplifying everyday operations.
  • Regularly updating the program's status and key issues to management and cross-functional teams within the organization.
  • Tackling testing-related subjects in the autonomous driving domain (coordinating testing efforts, management, ensuring test coverage and content, and reporting on the results).

What we need to see:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of recent Program/Project Management experience, including driving the planning and execution of complex software engineering projects, and releasing commercial products.
  • Relevant domain knowledge (Automotive, Perception, Path Planning and/or AI).
  • Experience with new product introduction, software releases at scale and managing research teams.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make decisions and reach consensus when data is insufficient.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer, software QA, or systems engineer. Understanding of the pressures they face and capacity to effectively lead engineers in projects and processes.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to collaborate on global projects across different teams and time zones.
  • Knowledge of Jira and/or JAMA to the extent that you can confidently teach an engineering team how to use these tools and execute in Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience with test development and requirement-based testing.

  • Past experience in systems and requirements engineering.
  • Familiarity with the Automotive autonomous system.

The base range is between 152,000 USD and 287,500 USD. Your base salary will be established based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar roles. You will also be eligible for . NVIDIA accepts applications on a continuous basis.
