The Role: Senior Autonomous Vehicle Test Technician

Reporting to the Autonomous Vehicle Test Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations at our Advanced Testing Facility. Your main tasks will involve verifying and validating the performance and safety features of our autonomous vehicle systems and sub-systems. This includes hands-on work with software, robotic arms, sensor suites, and electric vehicle platforms.

Your expertise will be essential as you guide less experienced technicians, serving as a primary source of technical knowledge and aiding in complex troubleshooting situations. You will also have the chance to conduct product demonstrations and contribute significantly to our engineering and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead troubleshooting activities throughout your shift, acting as a primary resource.
• Execute system test missions to validate the functionalities of autonomous trucks.
• Assess and report test results, actively communicating findings with the Engineering teams and the AV Test Operations Manager.
• Partake in safety supervision and enhancement activities within the testing facility.
• Support training programs for new technicians and contribute to continuous learning initiatives.
• Interact with engineering updates to stay informed on changes that could impact testing procedures.
• Travel occasionally for fieldwork, training, or customer support (up to 20%).
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to refine system performance and establish robust safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in testing within the automotive, aerospace, autonomous vehicle, or related fields.
• Proven ability with Linux and command-line interfaces.
• Strong communication skills and reputable professional references.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ROS, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Google Suites.
• Understanding of software development life cycles and modern testing methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits:
