About the Role

NVIDIA is searching for a passionate and experienced engineer to join our video IP team. You'll be instrumental in developing innovative AI algorithms for video compression and processing. Your work will focus on deep learning and machine learning-based algorithms, as well as next-generation encoder and decoder hardware architecture. If you thrive on the latest research in deep learning and video compression and have a knack for prototyping cutting-edge algorithms, this role is perfect for you.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development into deep learning networks for video compression and video pre/post processing.
• Develop video codec algorithms and hardware architecture.
• Model multimedia hardware.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6+ years of industry experience in the deep learning and/or video compression field.
• Proficiency in PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with video codecs such as H.264 (AVC), H.265 (HEVC), and AV1.
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience delivering AI features in products.
• Research or development experience in video compression standards (H.264/HEVC/AV1).
• Experience with GPU optimization frameworks, Tensor RT, or cuDNN.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $339,250, determined based on location, experience, and similar roles within the company. Additionally, you will be eligible for equity and benefits.
