Job Overview

As a Senior/Lead Data Engineer at MaintainX, you’ll be joining our elite Data Engineering team tasked with shaping our data architecture to inform strategic company-wide decisions. Your expertise will refine our platforms, enhancing the quality and integrity of the data we provide to our global clientele.

• Data Management: Spearhead the maintenance and enhancement of our data warehouses and lakes, ensuring robust, secure, and organized data solutions.
• Data Integration: Drive collaboration with stakeholders including data scientists and analysts to optimize our ETL processes and pipelines.
• Data Quality and Governance: Establish standards and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance across all data processes.
• Performance Optimization: Constantly advance our data framework for improved efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Security: Fortify the security measures of our data operations conforming to the highest industry regulations and standards.
• Documentation: Develop meticulous documentation to support data engineering processes and best practices.
• Collaboration: Leverage your technical leadership to support cross-functional teams in achieving their data-centric objectives.

About You

Prospective candidates should possess:

• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering specializing in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL development.
• Proficiency in data lake technologies such as AWS Redshift, AWS S3, Snowflake, and Hadoop.
• A solid grasp of data governance and a commitment to robust security practices.
• Eagerness to be part of a dynamic, remote team that values open collaboration and continuous learning.
• Experience in mentoring and enhancing the technical skills of peers.

Desirable Skills:

• Expertise in Python, SQL, Snowflake, Airflow, and full-stack development with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Prior experience with distributed computing engines such as Spark or Presto and scaling machine learning solutions using open-source frameworks like MLFlow.
