About the Role

As the Director of Data Engineering at BLEND360, you will lead major projects and collaborate with our team to create innovative, data-driven solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data architecture that integrates distributed data sources, performs large-scale learning, and delivers significant results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines to efficiently move and transform data from various sources to data warehouses
• Ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our data infrastructure
• Optimize data processing and storage for performance and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver solutions
• Continuously monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to maintain their reliability and availability
• Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering to enhance our capabilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar field
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
• Expertise in SQL and understanding of existing SQL warehouses
• Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, or Hive for big data technologies
• Experience with cloud data storage and processing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
