Position Summary

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently while liaising with Business Teams to establish robust Data Governance Policies. Your responsibilities will include managing the security and reliability of our Snowflake data warehouse, creating and maintaining database objects, coordinating system health checks, processing Data Access Requests, and crafting strategies to decrease cloud-related costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Data Governance Policies in collaboration with Business Teams.
• Manage and facilitate Data Access Request processes.
• Ensure the security and reliability of warehouse data.
• Administer and maintain the health of the Snowflake data warehouse, including backup procedures and disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with data SMEs and architects to create user-friendly data models for data warehouse support.
• Optimize cloud costs for the Snowflake warehouse.
• Support the design of data architecture and integration, focusing on database design, transformations, and loading processes.

Job Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Snowflake data warehouse administration including pipeline development for data.
• Minimum of 3 years working with SQL and familiarity with fundamentals of distributed computing and data modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting complex data issues and optimizing data processes.
• Experience in object-oriented design, coding and testing patterns.
• Prior experience with other SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving company environment.
