The Samsung SoC Lab is at the forefront of creating high-performance SoC architecture for our various Galaxy device lineups. Position Summary:

We are in search of a skilled SoC Architect to lead the architecture of Computer Vision and Neural Engine in our next-generation SoCs. This highly visible role involves hands-on technical leadership.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Guide the development of innovative Computer Vision and Neural Engine Architectural and microarchitectural features to enhance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) across various targeted workloads in next-generation SoCs.
  • Innovate, create, and deliver Computer Vision and Neural Engine architecture proposals for products in new and existing markets.
  • Evaluate architecture proposal benefits in collaboration with a team of SoC Architects, and effectively communicate the results across engineering audiences (SW, HW, Architecture, Leadership).
  • Perform high-level performance modeling, simulation, and analysis of Computer Vision and Neural Engine features, applications, benchmarks, and complex use cases.
  • Create performance models and studies to support the inclusion of these features in next-generation SoC architecture based on performance, area, or power improvement.
  • Collaborate with workload characterization teams to verify and debug the proposal and its delivered performance.

Required Skills:

  • BSc, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in SoC or ASIC RTL design.
  • At least 7 years of direct experience in hardware architecture or RTL design.
  • High proficiency in architecture analysis and performance modeling, ranging from simple analytical models to complex cycle accurate performance models and correlation, especially in the realms of Computer Vision and Neural Engine.

The base pay range for roles at this level is listed below, although it may vary in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within this range, individual rates depend on several factors, including the role’s function, location, and the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to support your well-being.

Base Pay Range: $188,400—$282,450 USD

This position will be performed in an office setting. The incumbent will be required to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.
