Join Us as a Cloud Developer

We are seeking cloud developers with expertise or interest in distributed systems, big data scenarios, and container technology who enjoy working in an agile team setup. Our big data components are integral to SAP's strategic architectures for business-critical and highly available solutions. In this role, you will help establish the foundation for our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Automate provisioning and operation of Big Data components in the SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Collaborate with various hyperscale environments, including AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.
• Enable the Big Data portfolio on Converged Cloud.
• Apply proven software methodologies to cloud operation challenges.
• Follow the SRE methodology to deliver resilient and highly available big data services.
• Participate in on-call duties outside of regular working hours.

Required Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, Big Data, or container technologies.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, GO, Bash.
• Comfortable working in Unix/Linux shell environments.
• Experience with IaaS platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with OpenStack is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in an agile project setup.
• Fluency in English.
• At least 2 years of professional work experience.
