About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer on our AI Platform team, you’ll have the opportunity to design and build the next-generation infrastructure that powers a variety of Zillow products. This role offers you the chance to:

• Develop scalable infrastructure for managing the entire machine learning lifecycle.
• Utilize top technologies like Kubernetes, KNative, Argo, Spark, Kafka, and Tensorflow.
• Collaborate with expert Applied Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers.
• Influence platform solutions across various teams, including Product and Engineering.

You’ll also collaborate extensively with our data infrastructure team to develop systems that enhance the performance of our ML models.

This is a Remote Opportunity

Zillow supports a dynamic work environment where you can opt to work remotely from any of the 50 United States. Specific compensation packages including equity awards are available, with base salary ranges from $131,700.00 - $210,300.00 Annually in designated states.

Who We Are Looking For

You should have:

• A BS degree or higher in Computer Science or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience with Machine Learning, data, or backend web services.
• Over 1 year of experience with platform solutions and a strong drive to simplify Machine Learning development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for collaborative problem-solving.

Additional technical expertise in cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), low-latency service development, or experience with modern data technologies (Spark, Hive, Kafka) will be highly advantageous.
