About the Role

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, you will be responsible for automating and testing complex and critical modules of various projects and services that power core engines at Monotype. This role provides an opportunity to create and own components end-to-end, automate various tasks, and enhance performance with best engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate new features.
• Identify and develop modifications in existing products.
• Write and implement efficient code for automation.
• Develop quality assurance procedures.
• Deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Maintain and upgrade existing systems.
• Collaborate closely with other developers, UX designers, and product owners.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in automation, acceptance, and integration tests.
• Hands-on experience with Web & APIs automation.
• Experience in testing web applications.
• Familiarity with Linux commands, Docker or Kubernetes, Agile methodologies.
• Experience in creating test automation plans/strategies is a plus.
• Proficiency in monitoring QA activities, test results, and root cause analysis for customer bugs.
• Experience building custom automation frameworks in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Expertise in frameworks based on Web Driver (Selenium, CodeCept, Spectron) and REST APIs (Rest Assured, Karate).
• Deep understanding of QA practices and processes.
• Experience with testing E-commerce sites, Web APIs, REST, UI, and Visual Regression.
• Understanding of microservices and microsites concepts.
• Experience with GIT, Bitbucket, GitHub, and the Gitflow branching model.
• Experience in an Agile development environment and iterative sprint cycle.
• Proficiency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Development environments, preferably Jenkins.
• Efficiency in working across different OS – Windows, Linux, & Mac.
• Exposure to inventory management systems is a plus.
