About the Role

In this role, you'll lead the development of novel algorithms and modeling techniques, driving the advancement of large model training using state-of-the-art hardware like AWS Trainium. Your work will directly influence Amazon's groundbreaking products and services, significantly impacting our customers' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Dive into Amazon's vast data sources to enhance the development of multi-modal Large Language Models (LLMs) and other Generative AI applications.
• Define data strategies, enrichment processes, model optimizations, and evaluation methods to set new industry standards.
• Quickly learn and apply cutting-edge technologies and algorithms in Generative AI.
• Develop and maintain key platforms for developing, evaluating, and deploying LLMs in real-world applications.
• Collaborate with team members to explore design approaches, prototype new technologies, and evaluate feasibility.
• Work closely with Applied Scientists to process vast data and scale machine learning models efficiently.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning and its practical applications.

Compensation and Benefits

Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Pay ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market, with specific pay based on location, skills, and experience.
