Our current focus includes advances in autonomous movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotics management software, predictive analytics, and much more. The Robotics Digital Solutions & Technologies team creates and maintains systems and processes that ensure a smooth planning, manufacturing, and launching process for Amazon Robotics. We are currently seeking an inventive, results-driven Senior Software Development Engineer to develop solutions that cater to our existing and future state manufacturing and supply chain operations. We strive to design scalable solutions that can keep pace with the rapid scaling in the field of robotics as we manufacture and deliver the next generation of robots. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, relish the challenge of solving highly complex business problems, and have a deep-rooted passion for people, software engineering, and system architecture. This role will focus on ERP, PLM, PDM, MDM/UDM, Global Trade, and SC Planning. We are particularly interested in a competent senior SDD who can streamline processes, simplify relentlessly, deliver results, and craft integrated digital solutions. Potential locations for candidates include : North Reading, MA, USA Basic Qualifications: - A minimum of three years of professional, non-internship, software development experience. - At least two years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) with both new and existing systems, outside of an internship. - Experience in programming with at least one software language. - A minimum of one year's experience in disciplines such as ERP, PLM, PDM, MDM, supply chain, solution or technical architecture, application development, and middleware. Preferred Qualifications: - Over three years of experience in the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, building processes, testing, and operations. - A Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent discipline.
