About The Team: Content Moderation

Our Content Moderation Team employs AI and machine learning technologies, including ChatGPT and in-house ML models, to ensure user safety. As a backend engineer on this team, you will be responsible for building the infrastructure to support these models and systems. You will have opportunities to learn about training ML models and scaling distributed systems.

Backend Engineer Role

We're looking for passionate engineers to join our mission. As a Backend Engineer, you'll be developing and integrating machine learning models to manage text, image, and video content across all Grab product lines. You will collaborate with business, product, and content moderation teams to ensure compliance with local and global regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design low-latency, scalable backend ML services using Golang and Python.
• Create large-scale data systems by leveraging data modeling and machine learning algorithms.
• Collaborate with various teams to analyze and evaluate user-generated content.
• Engage in service capacity planning, software performance analysis, and optimization.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with ML infrastructure or high traffic systems.
• Proficiency in languages like Python, Go, C++, or Java.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a strong willingness to work with people from diverse cultures.
• Self-motivated, fast learner, and a great team player.

Bonus points for:

• Overseas study or work experience.
• Expertise in open-source tech stacks like Database, Redis, Kafka, or Spark.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and cloud-native architecture.
