About the Role: Software Engineer - Backend

As a Backend-focused Software Engineer, you will be integral to the design, construction, and maintenance of APIs, services, and systems within our engineering team. This role encompasses developing new large-scale features, refining internal processes, and shaping our technical roadmap. The ideal candidate possesses a proven record in building highly available APIs and has expertise in data pipelines and related domains.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain robust backend services to meet our platform’s evolving needs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to architect and deliver new services from start to finish.
• Contribute to the development of new features and capabilities that provide substantial value to customers.
• Work closely with various engineering and product teams to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.
• Craft and maintain user-facing technical documentation for enhanced user understanding.
• Shape our engineering culture, maintaining high standards across the organization.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer specializing in web backend development.
• Proficiency in Golang is a significant advantage.
• Additional experience in data engineering is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality production services and systems.
• Customer-centric approach with strong empathy towards users.
• Relevant industry experience in banking or fintech, particularly in fraud prevention or compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $50,000 - $70,000, plus Series B equity with substantial upside potential and attractive benefits.
