Reflex Robotics is at the forefront of creating affordable humanoid robots designed to automate hazardous and repetitive tasks in manufacturing and logistics environments. Our vision is a future where everyone has their own "RobotGPT" to handle mundane tasks, allowing people to focus on more fulfilling work.

We are a rapidly growing company, just 20 months old, and have successfully raised $7 million led by Khosla Ventures. We have a projected revenue of $60 million per year, contingent on successful pilot tests with e-commerce warehouses in 2024.

How Does It Work?

Our robots are designed and built in-house by a talented engineering team, including experts who led the development of the Stretch robot at Boston Dynamics and key components of the Model S, X, and Y production line at Tesla. These robots are high-performance, low-inertia, and designed for cost-effective manufacturing.

We have also developed a groundbreaking tele-operation system, allowing operators up to 3000 miles away to control the robots in real-time, similar to "playing a video game." This system enables us to perform numerous tasks from day one, gradually increasing autonomy while employing remote operators when needed to ensure error-free operations.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking versatile controls engineers to join our dynamic team! With fewer than ten people onboard, there is an immense opportunity for high equity and substantial product ownership.

Qualification Criteria:

• Experience in controlling the motion of real-world hardware, not just simulations. Examples include nanometer-scale control of EUV lithography machines or making a quadruped perform a backflip.
• A comprehensive understanding of the entire system you work with, including concerns such as time synchronization between processors or the mechanical assembly’s stiffness properties.
• Expertise in model predictive control, nonlinear optimization, and sensor fusion strategies.
• Commitment to writing robust, trustworthy code.

We primarily develop in C++, with some Python used for prototyping. Note that we do not use ROS.
