About the Role

Wise is looking for a Full Stack Engineer focused on Frontend development, with some backend expertise, to join our Data Governance team. This team is committed to developing and operating platform products that enable autonomous teams to self-serve their data governance needs. We are building an automated governance platform that offers a unique opportunity to develop essential software engineering components while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

What Will You Be Working On?

As a part of our team, you will develop an innovative central system to revolutionize how our team interacts with data. Your tasks will include managing data systems, facilitating access requests, enhancing data discovery, and ensuring data classification, contract, provisioning, and deletion. This system will serve as the primary resource for engineers, analysts, data scientists, platform experts, external auditors, regulators, and top executives. Your contributions will shape the most impactful homepage, driving our data journey forward.

What Do You Need?

While we recognize that no candidate will embody all the skills listed below, we are committed to supporting your growth and encourage you to apply if you possess some of these skills and are eager to learn more:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and relevant browser technologies
• Experience with UI libraries such as React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Strong understanding of good UX principles
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both engineers and non-engineers
• Proficiency in both collaborative teamwork and independent problem-solving
• Experience in backend development and REST APIs

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Backstage and SSR frameworks (such as Next.js)
• Proficiency in creating MockUps/Wireframes/Prototyping
• Knowledge of or interest in product engineering for platform products

What We Offer

Starting Salary: £60,000-£80,000 + RSU
