About the Role

As a Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in building and managing our robust data ecosystems. This role involves collaborations with our esteemed customers and German industry partners right from the early stages of project scoping to the demonstration of our technology’s impact. Your expertise will help define the requirements and architecture for data management systems that support scalability and efficient data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize large-scale storage solutions to support efficient queries and adaptable data analyses.
• Enhance existing systems by developing scalable pipelines suitable for distributed computing and data processing.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to align infrastructure development with customer needs and use cases.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in collaborative software project development.
• Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Python, or Golang.
• Strong knowledge in relational database management systems such as BigQuery, DB2, or ODB, coupled with experience in cloud services like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, and familiarity with service-oriented architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in German, both written and spoken.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Ability to construct robust scalable data pipelines using Apache Beam.
• Proficiency in Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or JAX.
• Experience in developing or using logging and monitoring tools.
• Practical skills in debugging complex systems, including network and performance issues.
