Please note, this is a hybrid role based in Toronto. You will be required to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Role Overview:

The App Explore team’s mission is to enhance continuous engagement and retention during the customer's shopping and home project lifecycle. We are seeking a candidate experienced in native iOS development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality features efficiently. The ideal candidate will utilize a breadth of knowledge to create frictionless and delightful shopping experiences for Wayfair shoppers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in mobile projects focusing on middle-funnel functionality, such as browsing and exploring product details.
• Architect and develop new features, maintain applications, refactor code, and improve performance and automation.
• Ensure quality engineering direction across multiple teams within the organization.
• Participate in architectural and code review discussions impacting our engineering ecosystem.
• Champions test coverage and quality engineering.
• Use data and metrics to collaboratively drive impactful changes.
• Collaborate with quality, UX, back-end/API, product, analytics, and other teams.
• Work with Android and full-stack teams to ensure robust and aligned solutions.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the Wayfair engineering organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent team player with a passion for collaboration.
• 1-2 years of software development experience is preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with full stack and/or mobile development.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages.
• Skilled in solving complex problems with simple abstract solutions.
• Experience or exposure to SQL, Java, and Python.
• Interest in working with big data and machine learning.
• Experience using cloud platforms is a plus.
• Experience in agile environments preferred.
• Autonomous work ethic and capability to lead projects or tools independently.
• Strong communication skills.
