Overview

We are excited to welcome an experienced Data Engineer II to our Analytics Engineering team in our Engineering/Infrastructure/Data Systems and Services division.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with engineering managers and tech leads to plan and execute projects aligned with team goals.
• Engage with tech leads, managers, and various cross-functional teams at Affirm, including engineering, analytics, and product teams, to develop technology solutions for analytical use cases.
• Develop and write high-quality, clear, and efficient code that serves as a benchmark for your peers.
• Review peers' work to ensure it meets Affirm's high standards and provide constructive feedback.
• Act as a mentor and technical resource for other engineers both within and outside your immediate team.
• Contribute to a supportive and diverse work environment that values each team member.
• Participate in on-call rotations as a fundamental aspect of the role.

What We Look For

• At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering teams or similar roles.
• Expertise in SQL and DBT for data transformations and fluency in Python or other modern programming languages.
• Proven experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, as well as with data pipelines, data modeling, and data warehouse technologies, including AWS or other cloud services.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a readiness to work with the appropriate tools for each job.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in providing feedback to improve team outcomes and individual growth.

Compensation & Benefits

At Affirm, we offer a highly competitive package, symbolized by our pay grade ESP29, with salary ranges from €61,300 to €91,900 based on role and experience. Our benefits are designed to support the holistic well-being of our team members:
