Team Overview:

Join the Event-Pipeline Team, custodians of Klaviyo's real-time data pipeline. Our mission includes managing the seamless ingestion, processing, and relocation of billions of data points daily, which are crucial for powering Klaviyo's core functionalities. We’re dedicated to designing and implementing robust data pipelines and frameworks that enhance our Analytics system.

About the Role:

As a Software Engineer II on the Event-Pipeline team, your role will involve:

• Implementing and testing software in accordance with pre-defined designs and architectures.
• Generating necessary documentation and overseeing the deployment and maintenance of software/services in production environments.

Technical Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• At least 3-4 years of experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Understanding of distributed systems and messaging frameworks such as Kafka or Apache Pulsar.
• Proficiency in CI/CD processes, production deployment, and maintenance.
• Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals.
• Adept at quickly learning new technologies and systems.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with SQL databases, AWS services, large-scale distributed systems, and data storage solutions such as Redis is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $123,200—$184,800 USD, based on location and experience. This role is eligible for variable compensation and benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement accounts, flexible time off, company-paid holidays, and a continuous learning environment.
