Job Opportunity: Software Engineer II – Decision Intelligence Delivery and Support

Brief Job Summary

As a Software Engineer II in Decision Intelligence Delivery and Support, you will play a critical role in data-focused projects supporting the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization within the Data and Supply Technology Excellence team (DSTE). You will develop, administer, and operate applications with a focus on data management and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management: Administer and operate the Decision Intelligence platform, including leveraging enterprise-level data components. Provide tier-1 support, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with experts to resolve them.
  • Data Engineering and Analytics: Utilize technologies such as Aera Decision Intelligence Platform, Tableau, Spotfire, SQL, Python, and Java. Build data crawlers for ETL processes and design data warehouse models. Optimize complex SQL queries.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with teams to develop data requirements, business rules, acceptance criteria, and testing approaches for analytic solutions.
  • Data Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the BIA and GPS data ecosystem and its technologies.
  • Governance Oversight: Adhere to data governance policies and manage data access policies for GPS and GPS BIA data assets.
  • Vendor Management and Collaboration: Deliver and support custom-built data solutions with software vendors and service providers.
  • Business Structure Analysis: Create architectural diagrams and manage deployment complexities.

Role Requirements

This role requires strong programming skills (SQL, Python, Java) and extensive knowledge in BI domain, data warehousing, and analytics. Experience in ETL processes, agile project management, cloud computing, SAP, and Machine Learning is a plus. Candidates should possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
