Job Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, designs, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond conventional approaches to create solutions or resolve technical issues.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms to ensure synchronicity with pertinent systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for intricate applications ensuring adherence to design constraints in software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reports from large, diverse data sets aimed at continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities and events exploring new and emerging technologies.
- Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in coding languages, preferably Java, Spring Boot, and Python.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and a strong understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes in fields such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile.
- Experience with Cloud-native microservices design and development, particularly in AWS, using services such as Glue, Lambda, Step-functions, ECS, EKS, S3, DynamoDb, IAM, VPC, Security Groups, Load Balancer, and Route53.
- Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL Databases, PL/SQL, Data Refinement, and Query tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform.
- Ability to independently address design and functionality problems with minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong AWS cloud experience.
- Experience in Data Engineering, ETL, and Data Warehouse technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of payment technology within the financial services industry and their IT systems.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, and Delta Lake.
- Proficiency with the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform.
- Hands-on experience with User Interface technologies like React.js and JavaScript.
