Job Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by the developed software code.
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies.
• Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in coding in one or more languages; emerging knowledge of continuous integration and delivery tools like Terraform.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Experience maintaining a cloud-based infrastructure and familiarity with tools such as Kafka, MSK, Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Datadog.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a specific discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies; proficiency in coding in one or more languages, preferably Python.
• Experience working with AWS and Kubernetes; strong understanding of AWS services and architecture best practices. AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile and DevOps; familiarity with tools such as Git and Jenkins.
