Your role involves implementing crucial technology across various business functions to support the firm’s objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, leveraging innovative approaches to solve complex technical problems.
- Develop platform capabilities that enable researchers to conduct and publish results, and deploy classical and quantum algorithms.
- Collaborate with researchers to design, develop, and package Quantum/Quantum-Inspired algorithms for integration with strategic systems.
- Document approaches, techniques, and processes to comply with company regulations.
- Foster a high curiosity and learning mindset, while collaborating on new algorithms and technologies with various stakeholders.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronized algorithms.
- Produce architecture and design documentation for complex applications, ensuring software code meets design constraints.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
- Identify hidden patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities and events exploring new technologies.
- Enhance team culture with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
- BS or MS in quantitative disciplines like Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics. Strong understanding of statistics, linear algebra, and optimization.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages; extensive hands-on experience with Python, C/C++, Terraform, FastAPI, and distributed computing frameworks like Ray or Dask.
- Knowledge of GPU and CUDA development.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Hands-on cloud development experience in AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, EFS, Lambda).
- Track record of developing and deploying platform capabilities and algorithm-based software.
- Extensive experience with Python libraries such as PyTorch, NumPy, and Pandas.
- Experience implementing distributed, multi-threaded, and scalable applications.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information effectively at all levels, creating trust with stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with Quantum Computing and Quantum Algorithms; expertise in this field is a bonus.
- Experience with Quantum Libraries like Qiskit and Pytket.
- Cloud certification such as AWS Certified Developer is advantageous.
