We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will contribute to real-world projects, learn best practices in software development, and deepen your understanding of geoscience data, AI, and its applications in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions tailored to geoscience applications.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in software engineering.
  • Document technical specifications and contribute to user guides and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
  • Basic understanding of AI and generative AI concepts and their applications.
  • Basic understanding of agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., D3.js, Plotly).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of the oil and gas industry, specifically related to geoscience and engineering.
  • Experience with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
