Meta AI Speech team is on the lookout for a skilled Software Engineer specialized in Speech and Language to help pioneer advancements in spoken language technology. What You Will Do

As a Software Engineer focused on Speech Recognition, you will:

• Utilize cutting-edge AI and machine learning methodologies to develop voice-driven interfaces and technologies that enhance Meta's product experiences.
• Design and implement novel, accurate AI algorithms and systems capable of operating at large scales.
• Take charge of experimental aspects from design to evaluation, which includes coding, running experiments, and result management.
• Handle extensive datasets and develop machine learning models suited for both server-based and on-device systems.

What We Require

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in one or more of the following: automatic speech recognition, language modeling, large language models (LLMs), machine learning, deep learning.
• Skills in developing machine learning algorithms or infrastructure using C/C++ or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with large-scale model training, algorithm implementation, and system evaluations on server-side and on-device solutions.
• At least four years of relevant industry experience in an industry setting, academia, or government lab.

Salary and Benefits: The annual salary for this position ranges from $177,008 to $251,000 plus bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits based on skills, qualifications, and location.
