The Role

As a Software Engineer, ML Infrastructure at Intrinsic, you will be instrumental in constructing the infrastructure necessary for training and deploying extensive robotic foundation models. Your journey starts from project conception, collaborating closely with customers and partners, to demonstrating our cutting-edge technology and capabilities. You will evaluate and determine the necessary data and ML infrastructure requirements, formulate clear specifications, and engage actively with our engineering teams to design and implement effective solutions. This role involves significant collaboration with leading German industry partners to foster a robust data ecosystem for robotics.

How You Will Drive Our Mission

• Design innovative solutions to train large-scale robotic foundation models.
• Enhance existing systems by integrating scalable pipelines suitable for distributed computing and data processing.
• Work in tandem with product and engineering teams to ensure optimal support for customer use cases.

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in collaborating on medium to large-scale software projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.
• Experience with Kubernetes and machine learning frameworks like Tensorflow and JAX.
• Demonstrable knowledge in Google Cloud, Docker, service-oriented architectures, and containerization and orchestration technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in the German language.
• Background in robotics.
• Proven experience in deploying ML services at scale.
• Hands-on experience in debugging distributed systems.
