Peraton is on the lookout for a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Vulnerability Management and Data Analysis to join our dynamic team dedicated to national security missions. This pivotal role is based in Fort Meade, MD, where you will contribute to critical JFHQ-DODIN initiatives.

About the Role

As a Software Engineer at Peraton, you will collaborate with senior engineers and partake in the full spectrum of software development activities. Your responsibilities will extend from writing code to application design and managing updated databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate system requirements into designs and develop cutting-edge systems in an agile setting.
  • Triage and tackle operational issues to ensure uninterrupted system and service operations.
  • Integrate and fine-tune testing procedures from sprint planning to retrospectives, aiming for continuous improvement.
  • Manage the integration and flow of data across various platforms, including Big Data Platforms and Unified Platforms.
  • Strategize and implement the integration of new and existing data sources to support DODIN Inspections.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of data during transfer and storage, implementing advanced encryption and secure authentication protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PhD; Or HS+12 years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Adept in software development, database management, and understanding of RESTful APIs & JSON.
  • Proficient with version control systems such as Git or BitToken.
  • Minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Current DOD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification and active TS/SCI clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DOD 8140/8570 IASAE Level II certification.
  • Cloud Certification and experience as a Solutions Architect.

Salary and Application
