Solutions Engineer Position at Auterion

Join Auterion as a Solutions Engineer and work closely with our customers and partners to seamlessly integrate our advanced technology into their systems. This dynamic role combines hands-on implementation of cutting-edge solutions with exceptional client and project management skills. Collaborate with our expert teams to resolve a variety of challenges from hardware systems, sensor integration, to flight control, ensuring the safe deployment of our drone technology. You'll be the critical interface to our customers' engineering teams.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Solutions Adoption: Manage and support the complete implementation of Auterion’s technology into customers' applications and tech stacks.
• Deal Support: Provide critical sales support by coordinating and managing sales activities such as preparing and processing quotes, orders, and invoices.
• Technical Design: Collaborate with the product engineering team to design and implement features within an embedded Linux and microcontroller/RTOS environment.
• Customer Engagement: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Technical Documentation and Enablement: Work closely with Auterion’s product engineering and support teams to enhance our product offerings and documentation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with departments such as finance, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless communication and coordination of sales-related activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a solutions or sales engineering role, preferably within startups or scale-ups; experience in robotics technologies is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in customer-facing aspects of engineering, including direct customer interactions.
• Experience in software engineering, particularly with Python and C++.
• Expertise in integrating hardware components such as sensors into embedded systems, and understanding of embedded communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.).
• Flexibility to work varying hours and travel internationally.
• Preferred experience in:
  • Mechanical design
  • Embedded Linux
  • Drone flight control systems (PX4)
