About this role

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will lead a skilled team of Spatial Coordinators to ensure all project spatial data deliverables adhere to Defence Standards/specifications. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and guide the Spatial Coordinator team.
  • Drive the collection and analysis of spatial data.
  • Ensure compliance of spatial data, managing the review, validation, and upload processes for Project Asset Data.
  • Extract spatial data from Defence Information Systems to support Defence Estate Works projects.
  • Provide training on Defence systems for staff and stakeholders for accessing and updating spatial information.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to enhance spatial data validation processes.
  • Coordinate asset validation, aligning GEMS data with spatial plans.
  • Handle document control and project close-out processes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A tertiary qualification in construction, design, engineering, surveying, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with other GIS applications like ESRI.
  • Knowledge of Defence applications (e.g., NIMS, GEMS, Objective) is advantageous.
  • An understanding of the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.
  • The ability to interpret and understand architectural plans.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Australian citizenship.
