We're looking for a dynamic Specialist Solutions Architect (Data Engineering) to guide the technical evaluation phase and provide expert hands-on support throughout our sales process at Databricks. Play a pivotal role in our team, working closely with product teams and acting as a technical advisor to help our valued customers achieve groundbreaking data-driven results.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Specialist Field Engineering Manager, you will enhance your technical prowess through continuous learning, mentorship, and our internal training programs. As a pivotal member of our sales team, you'll establish a clear architectural vision using our Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, pinpoint compelling use cases, and drive value realization for our customers.

Impact You'll Have:

As an authority in big data analytics, you will:

  • Steer clients through evaluating and adopting the Databrick's platform
  • Author reference architectures, how-tos, and demonstrate applications
  • Integrate Databricks with third-party applications to enhance customer architectures
  • Lead technical workshops, seminars, and community meet-ups
  • Collaborate with account teams to build successful client relationships delivering both technical and business value

We're Looking For:

  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, including presentation and whiteboarding skills
  • Experience in pre-sales or post-sales roles, advising external clients
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing complex solutions within public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL, and other big data technologies
  • Excellent coding skills in Python, Scala, or Java
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent
  • Fluency in French and English

Desirable:

  • Databricks Certification and experience with legacy system migrations are a plus
