We are currently seeking a Data Engineer Intern to join our Smart City team in Silicon Valley, CA in January 2024.

As a Data Engineer Intern on the team, you’ll be able to:

• Design and maintain an optimal data pipeline architecture on Snowflake.
• Identify, design, and deploy internal process improvements: automating manual processes.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientist, UI dashboard builder, and teams to address data-related technical complications and support their data infrastructure needs.

To qualify for this role, you should:

• Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Have solid experience in Python programming language.
• Have experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills enabling complex algorithm representation in software.
• Have experience in AWS Environment.
• Excel in problem-solving and troubleshooting.

Bonus points for:

• Data engineering certification (e.g AWS Certified Data Engineer).
• Data Engineering Development experience (Talend and Big Data).
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems.
• Fluency in Japanese.
• Readiness to challenge oneself for skill and talent development.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Salary Range Estimate: $30-$44/hr. This compensation range is intended as a reasonable estimate of the expected for the job’s grade level. Factors that may determine your actual salary include, among others, your specific skills, your workplace location, your years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
