About the Role

At American National, we are seeking a skilled Sr Business Intelligence Data Engineer to enhance our corporate data warehouse. This pivotal role involves comprehensive management of data integration solutions and supporting strategic, operational, and tactical warehousing requirements. Our ideal candidate will ensure that data is meticulously sourced, accurately transformed, and delivered timely to foster informed decision-making.

Your Impact

• Develop and deploy data extraction, transformation, and loading routines within the data warehouse environment.
• Spearhead strategies for effective data acquisition, archive management, recovery, and ETL processes implementation.
• Implement change data capture strategies and create robust testing methodologies.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to ensure the highest quality and consistency across data performance metrics.
• Develop and refine specifications for data cleansing and migration, ensuring optimal ETL architecture and process automation.
• Effectively interpret business requirements and technical specifications, contributing to sophisticated data model designs.

Qualifications for Success

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least 4 years in ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing data warehouses and data marts.
• 3+ years crafting cloud-based pipelines, preferably in Azure Data Factory or AWS Glue.
• Strong understanding of data warehouse technologies, concepts, and best Business processes.
• Skilled in database design and familiar with SQL Server best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a knack for clear and effective interpersonal interactions.

Our Preferences

• Experience with Mainframe DB2 and familiarity with Agile methodology is highly advantageous.
