Opportunity Overview

We are actively seeking a highly driven Sr Cloud Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in State Street's AML Transformation program. Based in Boston, this role demands a proactive mindset and close collaboration with both technical and business teams to craft advanced solutions for AML Transaction Monitoring and other compliance programs.

What You Will Bring

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, coupled with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in cloud and data warehousing technologies. Certifications in AWS or Databricks will be considered a valuable plus.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Enhancing application infrastructure and performance,
• Documenting best practices for application deployment and infrastructural support,
• Designing scalable, efficient, and cost-effective data solutions and migration strategies,
• Developing robust data ingestion and engineering functions in Databricks and AWS,
• Collaborating across IT and other departments to transition ML applications to modern platforms,
• Leading end-to-end design and implementation of data pipelines.

Required Skills & Expertise

We expect you to be proficient in:

• Decision-making and problem-solving,
• Data warehousing, Data Lake concepts, and Databricks architecture,
• Core AWS services and architectural best practices,
• Medallion architecture, AutoLoader, DLT, Unity Catalog, Airflow, CI/CD pipelines,
• SQL, Python, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
