Job Overview: Sr. Compliance Business Analyst

As a Sr. Compliance Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, generating, and maintaining reports used by the Compliance team for decision-making, risk management, and information visualization. Additionally, you will support internal users of the implemented analytical reports and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Food Safety, Global Trade, Trust & Safety) to develop business metrics and design robust reporting systems.
  • Develop analytical frameworks and transform complex data into comprehensible insights.
  • Create dashboards that provide metrics for compliance policy decision making.
  • Build ML models to respond to queries based on investigation and hypotheses.
  • Generate and tweak ML prototypes and models to detect risks and abuses in seller and item listings.
  • Maintain code, scripts, cron jobs, and data in a cloud environment and databases.
  • Write scripts to track operational performance and drive process improvements.
  • Execute database queries and in-depth analysis on abnormal events and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis/business intelligence.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other coding languages.
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills; experience with Hadoop, BigQuery, and Hive.
  • Knowledge of Apache Airflow, ETL concepts, and data warehousing procedures.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
  • Strategic thinking, ability to analyze large datasets, and interpret data trends.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills to apply data analysis in business strategy and influence leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in risk management or e-commerce environments.
  • Proficiency in business English.
  • Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
