Job Description:

As a Sr Data Engineer specializing in Data Governance, you will be pivotal in establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework. This framework will ensure the precision, integrity, and dependability of our organizational data. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you'll develop and enforce essential metrics, standards, and guidelines that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute data governance policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Analyze and define usage and licensing metrics, employing JavaScript for scripting tasks.
• Facilitate dashboard data modeling and data querying within a BigData/snowflake environment, extracting and interpreting insights.
• Coordinate with IT, legal, compliance, and business units to define and implement comprehensive data governance strategies.
• Drive data quality initiatives, establish data stewardship, and manage data lifecycle processes in accordance with company policies.
• Develop and conduct data governance training to enhance organizational understanding and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5-8 years in data governance or a closely related field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and ideally JavaScript.
• Proven expertise in data governance frameworks and data quality management.
• Exceptional analytical skills and strong communication capabilities are essential.
• Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant field, hands-on experience with ServiceNow platforms, and familiarity with data modeling and metadata management tools.
