About the Role

At Indivisible, we are offering a pivotal opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to steer the technical direction of our data functions and significantly enhance our organizational impact. You will be integral in executing and shaping Indivisible’s data infrastructure roadmap, automating processes, optimizing workflows, and upsizing our capabilities to support national initiatives and campaigns.

As a technical leader and a member of our esteemed analytics team, you will be tasked with managing our databases, developing ETL pipelines, writing high-quality, scalable code, and providing indispensable technical guidance. Moreover, you will engage with both external and internal stakeholders to drive projects that boost our operational and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering (75%): Build and maintain data solutions, manage ETL pipelines, and automate data-intensive operations to elevate efficiency.
  • Project Management (20%): Advance data best practices, interact with stakeholders to assess data requirements, and manage technology-related vendor and contractor relationships.
  • Analytics Support (5%): Contribute to analytical projects, including model development and data reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in SQL, database management, and Python. Experienced in developing robust ETL processes and utilizing version control systems like Git.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to lead projects, outline and meet deadlines, manage stakeholder expectations, and convey technical details to non-technical teams.
  • Mission Alignment: A passion for progressive causes, with prior exposure to movement spaces and a comprehensive understanding of how data engineering supports these initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or DBT, data visualization platforms like Tableau, and knowledge of application development are highly advantageous.

This full-time role comes with a competitive salary starting at $76,900, based on experience.
