Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and automate data pipeline frameworks for high-volume and real-time data delivery on our Hadoop and streaming data platforms.
  • Create data APIs and delivery services that support critical operational and analytical applications for internal business operations, customers, and partners.
  • Transform complex analytical models into scalable, production-ready solutions.
  • Continuously integrate and deploy code across our on-premise and cloud production environments.
  • Develop applications from the ground up using modern technology stacks such as Scala, Spark, Postgres, Angular JS, and NoSQL.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and customers to deliver impactful data products in an agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • 6+ years of experience in application development using languages like Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
  • 4+ years of experience with big data technologies.
  • 4+ years of experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency with distributed computing tools like MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.
  • Experience with real-time data and streaming applications.
  • 4+ years of experience with NoSQL implementations like MongoDB or Cassandra.
  • Data warehousing experience, e.g., Redshift or Snowflake.
  • Proficiency with UNIX/Linux, including basic commands and shell scripting.
  • Strong background in Agile engineering practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in application development (excluding internship experience).
  • At least 1 year of experience with big data technologies.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this full-time position in New York City (Hybrid On-Site) is $165,100 - $188,500. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed-upon hours. Compensation includes performance-based incentives, which may encompass cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
