Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data from various sources.
• Build and maintain data storage and processing systems, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Ensure the data is securely protected.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to meet data access needs.
• Document processes and ways of working with other Business Analysts and technology teams.
• Work with Big Data Solution Architects to design, prototype, implement, and optimize data ingestion pipelines for effective data sharing.
• Ensure solutions meet operational, security, and compliance standards and are production-ready.
• Participate in daily project meetings and Agile sessions to offer technical support for quick issue resolution.
• Communicate status and blockers clearly to the business.
• Possess end-to-end knowledge of the data landscape within Lebara.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of design and development experience with big data technologies.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Expertise in querying and manipulating data from various databases (both relational and big data).
• Experience in writing effective and maintainable unit and integration tests for ingestion pipelines.
• Knowledge of static analysis, code quality tools, and CI/CD pipeline creation.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience with high-traffic and large-scale software products.
