Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data from various sources.
- Build and maintain data storage and processing systems, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Ensure the data is securely protected.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to meet data access needs.
- Document processes and ways of working with other Business Analysts and technology teams.
- Work with Big Data Solution Architects to design, prototype, implement, and optimize data ingestion pipelines for effective data sharing.
- Ensure solutions meet operational, security, and compliance standards and are production-ready.
- Participate in daily project meetings and Agile sessions to offer technical support for quick issue resolution.
- Communicate status and blockers clearly to the business.
- Possess end-to-end knowledge of the data landscape within Lebara.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of design and development experience with big data technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
- 2+ years of experience in cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Expertise in querying and manipulating data from various databases (both relational and big data).
- Experience in writing effective and maintainable unit and integration tests for ingestion pipelines.
- Knowledge of static analysis, code quality tools, and CI/CD pipeline creation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with high-traffic and large-scale software products.
