Job Description: Sr Data Modeler/Data Engineer

Leidos’ Civilian Health Solutions Operation is seeking a dynamic, mission-oriented, hands-on Sr Data Modeler/Data Engineer to support a federal agency’s large, mission-critical enterprise environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. This role is primarily telecommute, with a preference for candidates located in the DC Metro area for on-site customer meetings.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the core data model within Microsoft Dataverse, aligning with current and future business requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand their data modeling needs, providing expert guidance and solutions.
• Design, implement, and document data architecture for analytical processing and data visualization.
• Create data models and dictionaries to turn complex data into practical systems or solutions.
• Analyze business needs to translate them into effective data models.
• Conduct data profiling and analysis to aid in the creation, modification, and maintenance of data models.
• Develop standards and best practices, ensuring consistency with existing systems.
• Work closely with data engineers and BI developers to facilitate seamless data flow to BI tools for dashboard and report creation.

Basic Qualifications

• Active Public Trust Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience designing data models and databases.
• 4+ years of experience developing solutions in Azure, AWS cloud environments.
• 8+ years of experience with relational databases.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Dataverse (Power Platform), including its data structures, API, and integration capabilities.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technology with hands-on experience in database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Experience in Machine Learning and Data Science is a plus.
• ITIL Foundations certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).

Compensation

Pay Range: $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
