About the Role:

As the Ads Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in shaping our advertising products. This hybrid role, based out of our Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco office hubs, involves close partnership with multiple departments like Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to enhance the ads product experience for both our users and advertisers. Key aspects of your role include analyzing ads and user engagement data, defining business metrics, guiding the revenue forecast, and contributing profoundly to the product roadmap through data-driven insights.

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate directly with the Ads Product Manager and be an integral part of a dedicated product pod.
• Lead A/B testing across the full experimentation life cycle—from inception to recommendations.
• Develop and present valuable insights that influence the product roadmap.
• Work alongside the Ads Finance team to analyse business metric performance.

What you bring to the table:

• 2+ years of experience on the publisher side of the ads business.
• 4+ years in data science within a consumer internet company.
• Advanced SQL skills with a strong grasp on efficient and optimized coding.
• Practical experience in managing Ads A/B testing and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with a knack for synthesizing and visualizing data.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in Google BigQuery, Switchboard, or Google Ad Manager.
• Degree in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields.
