About The Role

AKASA, a leader in generative AI for the healthcare revenue cycle, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist. Utilize your healthcare data expertise and statistical skills to research and analyze complex datasets, impacting health systems significantly with our GenAI solutions in South San Francisco.

In this vital role, you will integrate within our cross-functional Data Platform team. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Analytics, Machine Learning, Product, and Sales to enhance our GenAI products that handle medical billing for millions.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

• Leverage causal inference and other statistical methodologies to evaluate our products' effects on key healthcare outcomes.
• Develop advanced healthcare algorithms and data assets to enhance product offerings and communication with health systems.
• Effectively present insights and impacts of our solutions across various organizational teams.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Economics, or related fields, with significant professional experience.
• Proven expertise in the healthcare sector, familiar with EHR and clinical data.
• Strong skills in Python, SQL, and statistical research methodologies.
• Excellent communication abilities, with a knack for cross-functional collaboration.
• Self-driven with a keen interest in addressing healthcare challenges.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in causal inference, econometrics, or software development.
• Familiarity with Data Warehouses and software product delivery.
