Databricks is looking for a dynamic Senior Data Scientist to join our Machine Learning (ML) Practice team. Positioned as a leader in data and AI, Databricks leverages the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) to serve more than 10,000 clients globally, including top-tier companies across various sectors.

This remote role opens doors for candidates ideally located in the Bay Area, although applicants from across the U.S. are welcome to contribute to our mission of data unification and analytics democratization.

What You'll Do

As a pivotal member of our customer-facing ML team, you will:

• Design and develop robust LLM solutions tailored to customer datasets.
• Enhance data science workloads and implement cutting-edge MLOps strategies.
• Provide expert advice on data science architecture, tools, and best practices.
• Represent Databricks at renowned conferences and summits.
• Mentor a vibrant community of ML subject matter experts.
• Collaborate internally to steer product directions and innovations.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate brings:

• Expertise in advanced natural language processing techniques and LLM deployment.
• At least 4 years of practical industry experience in data science.
• Proficiency in ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• A strong foundation in a quantitative field or substantial equivalent experience.
• An ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas.
• A genuine passion for collaborative problem-solving and continuous learning.
• [Preferred] Experience with Apache Spark™ and large-scale data processing.

Salary Transparency

Databricks believes in fair compensation. The salary for this role spans from $124,800 to $220,800, depending on location and tailored to your unique qualifications.
