We are on the lookout for a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic Innovation team. This role involves pioneering new products within Sportradar’s portfolio.

About the Innovation Team

Our Innovation team is dedicated to launching, developing, validating, and leading cutting-edge product ideas. We leverage advanced technologies, including computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and data science.

Your Responsibilities

• Experimenting with predictive models and enhancing current approaches
• Collecting, processing, cleansing, and validating data integrity for analysis
• Leading data-driven decision-making from collection and analysis to solution implementation and monitoring
• Managing data science projects to meet business requirements and timely delivery
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and objectives

Your Profile

We are seeking a candidate with:

• 4+ years of professional experience in developing ML products
• Experience in fields such as stock market analysis, high-frequency trading, sports events, or generic forecasting
• Proficiency in Python with experience producing quality code
• Knowledge of modern Gradient Boosting or Deep Learning approaches for probability analysis
• Experience in building predictive models using tabular data and complex feature engineering
• Proven experience of full software development life cycle, from Proof of Concept to reliable cloud or on-premises services

Desirable Skills

• Experience with libraries: XGBoost, CatBoost, PyTorch
• Familiarity with MLOps tools like ClearML
• Knowledge in building & maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub actions)
• Experience with cloud services, data pipelines, and/or distributed ML (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
