Join BASF as a Senior Global Regulatory Affairs Manager and be pivotal in maintaining our active ingredients and products' global licensing. Your role involves making informed regulatory decisions by considering sustainable development and product stewardship principles. Expertise in Global Regulatory Affairs, especially with regulatory bodies such as US EPA, EU, Japan, and Brazil, is essential, as you'll navigate guidelines, interpretations, and procedures impacting product registrations. In this role, you will also provide global regulatory support for crop protection active ingredients.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement – 3 days onsite and 2 days working remotely. We're also open to a fully remote option within the US, preferably in the Eastern Time Zone, for well-qualified candidates.

Your Role in Creating Chemistry

  • Developing and Implementing Strategies: Create global regulatory strategies aligning with business goals and addressing both short and long-term trends.
  • Leading Cross-functional Teams: Collaborate with Product Chemistry, Ecotoxicology, Environmental Fate, Consumer Safety, Biology, Toxicology, and Stewardship teams to support development projects and defend active ingredients/products.
  • Project Management: Manage project costs and timelines efficiently.
  • Regulatory Negotiations: Engage with key regulatory authorities to achieve your objectives.
  • Staying Informed: Keep abreast of global regulatory updates, advising business teams on issues affecting project targets.
  • Representing BASF: Participate in international industry associations and task forces.

Qualifications

If you have:

  • Education in an agricultural field or related scientific discipline, with experience in regulatory affairs within the pesticide industry (biopesticides preferred, conventional crop protection considered):
    • BS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
    • MS degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
    • PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, domestically and internationally

Pay Transparency

BASF is dedicated to pay transparency practices. The salary range for this role is $128,000 - $176,000, dependent on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
